Jose Ramirez 2CWE nylon string crossover guitar built in Madrid, Spain, 1997

I bought it new from Guitar Center and have kept it in perfect condition. There is not a single scratch on the instrument, just used it for a few recording. Made in Spain, this Jose Ramirez nylon string guitar totally reflects the Ramirez reputation for high quality craftsmanship, fingerboard playability, intonation, and warm sumptuous tone.

This guitar is known as a nylon string "crossover" guitar, meaning that for a few reasons it's not necessarily meant only for classical guitar, but could be used for classical/jazz/Latin/pop genres. One feature differing from a traditional classical guitar is that the crossover guitar is built with a slightly more narrow neck width making it more accessible to steel string and electric players, or players with smaller hands. Another feature is that it contains a cutaway so to more easily play the strings higher up on the neck. Lastly, crossover guitars also have built in pick-up system so to be amplified for ensemble performance. This model in particular has Fishman Pro-blend Electronics (w/Jose Ramirez name on it), producing a very natural and warm amplified sound by way of combining an under-the-saddle pickup with an internal microphone.

More specs include: solid red cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides, Brazilian rosewood headstock and bridge, ebony fingerboard, Spanish cedar neck with ebony reinforcement, bone saddle and nut, cutaway body type, 50mm nut width, 650mm scale length, Fustero gold plated tuners, lacquer finish, Fishman Pro-blend electronics, polyfoam guitar case, made in Spain.
